In November 2019, we launched the project “Creativity in Youth Sport Work for Reconciliation and Acceptance of Diversity”. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of youth organizations and youth workers by using non-formal education and creative approaches in sport and outdoor activities to promote reconciliation and the acceptance of diversity among young people in our communities.

The project includes several activities, with the first one taking place in Novi Sad, Serbia, from 22 November to 1 December 2019. This training course brought together young participants from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, and Germany.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to explore and discuss the social and political contexts of youth work in post-conflict societies, particularly in relation to reconciliation. They also worked on developing practical workshops that will be implemented in their communities as a follow-up to the training. In addition, the participants explored personal communication styles, conflict transformation, and approaches to non-violent communication and conflict resolution within intercultural groups.

Stay tuned for the next activities of the project in 2020.
