The Youth Lab marked the final session of the NextGen Balkans series, bringing together young people from Kosovo and Greece to transform innovative ideas into practical, youth-led project concepts.
Building on the themes explored throughout the series, including youth participation, digital skills, climate action, and regional cooperation; participants worked collaboratively in two thematic tracks:
- Artificial Intelligence, Social Entrepreneurship, and Innovation
- Civic Engagement and Regional Cooperation
Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and hands-on project design, participants moved beyond theory to develop concrete initiatives aimed at creating positive change in their communities and across the region.
The session was enriched by the valuable contributions of our guest speakers and experts, whose knowledge and experience inspired participants throughout the process:
- Sara Azemi (DYVÓLAB)
- Erza Preteni (Youth Ambassador)
- Maria Lelaki (UNESCO Chair on Threats to Cultural Heritage)
- Afroditi Gkortsou and Stavroula Tsitsiri (Balkan Youth Cooperation)
We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants, facilitators, speakers, and partners whose enthusiasm, creativity, and collaboration made this journey a success.
The NextGen Balkans series was jointly implemented by Building the Balkans (BtB) and Balkan Youth Cooperation (BYC), fostering dialogue, learning, and cross-border cooperation among young people in the region.
