29 September – 8 October 2018 | Mali Idjos, Serbia

As a project partner, Building The Balkans had the opportunity to send two of its members, Ylberina Peci and Lavdim Pllana, to participate in the training course “Sport Methodology in Youth Work for the Inclusion of Immigrants”, held in Mali Idjos, Serbia.

During the training, participants from nine different European countries came together to exchange experiences and learn new approaches to youth work. The program focused on sport-based methodologies and explored the core concepts, values, and principles of inclusion and intercultural learning. Through various workshops, discussions, and practical activities, participants gained valuable tools on how sport can be used as a powerful instrument to promote social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and cooperation among young people.

Beyond the learning experience, the training also created a space for participants to build meaningful connections, share cultures, and form new friendships.

The project was managed by NGO Amuse from Serbia, in partnership with organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Germany, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, and Sweden.

The main aim of the project was to encourage youth workers to develop more sport-based youth initiatives that highlight the positive role of sport in fostering intercultural learning and supporting the inclusion of immigrants and other marginalized youth.
